inspiration board #50: boudoir

The colour pink is associated with all things feminine, romantic and girly.  It’s unashamedly pretty, and so obvious why it’s also the colour we associate most often with weddings.  Today’s inspiration takes the paler, softer tones of blush and nude and teams them with black lace, to create a subtly sexy, grown up look.  Using black lace with it’s open texture and pattern, rather than solid blocks of colour keeps the scheme light and fresh.  Adding these small touches of lace, such as a beautiful black bow around a simple blush posy of roses, creates an elegant yet edgy feel.  This is perfect inspiration not just for your wedding, but also a sophisticated hen do, with a hint of naughtiness ;)
